Parking shmarking

Paid parking is a fact of life in Abu Dhabi. Don't under any circumstances be lulled into thinking that because you paid for your time, you will be able to find a legitimate spot. No, that would be way to easy.

Instead, people can continue to buy new cars and be issued with parking permits ad infinitum ... without any additional parking spots being created. Oh dear, a recipe for disaster and deep unhappiness in the making. The flip side is that the officials must be making a packet from all the fines handed out. Ah well at least somebody is happy at the end of the day.

I do so long for my very own personal parking bay ... nirvana indeed.
